Accessibility Statement

What works in this app — and what does not yet.

supodo is a platform for inclusive sport. This app helps you find sports events and clubs near you. Accessibility is not a side concern for us; it is the core of what we build. So we say openly where this app already meets the requirements and where it does not. Our benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.

supodo consists of several products. Each has its own accessibility statement, because they are at different stages. An overview is on supodo.com: Accessibility statement on supodo.com.

Conformance status

This app is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 at level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most requirements are met, but some are not. On 14 August 2026 the automated check was widened by four rules that had not been running before. Every known point is listed below.

Non-accessible content

We know about the following problems. Each point names the requirement it affects.

  • The outline marking the element selected with the keyboard reaches about 2.9:1 against the green header background, instead of the required 3:1. Anyone operating the app by keyboard can barely tell where they are. Affects WCAG 1.4.11.
  • On very narrow screens (around 320 pixels wide) the logo in the header is only about 22 pixels wide as a target. 24 pixels are required. Affects WCAG 2.5.8.

Not yet tested

These points cannot be judged by machine alone. We have not yet tested them with real assistive technology, so we cannot make any promises about them:

  • Where keyboard focus lands when you change the language or the reading version in the middle of a page.
  • How screen readers announce the display settings — and whether it is clear that the “Leichte Sprache” version is not available yet.
  • Whether the app can be used at 400% zoom, or 320 pixels wide, without scrolling sideways.
  • Whether the alternative texts on images really describe what is shown. Organisers enter those texts themselves.

How we tested

This statement is based on an internal self-assessment. Last measured on 14 August 2026 with axe-core 4.12 and Playwright 1.61: all five page types, all four reading registers, with and without content. We check against the WCAG level A and AA rules, plus four rules the tool classes only as “good practice”. No rule is switched off and no part of the page is excluded. This is supplemented by a source review and calculated contrast ratios. The automated check runs at a screen width of 1280 pixels and captures only what can be measured by machine. No screen-reader testing and no external audit have taken place.

What we are doing next

Next we will fix the keyboard outline on the green and the logo that is too narrow. The button for language and reading register will be corrected in the shared component set. Testing with assistive technology follows after that. We will update this page as soon as the status changes.
